I am all alone at home to do all the households. So, I do all my shopping with my daughter. Recently I have seen a great change in her. Whenever I take her shopping with me she becomes hyper. She starts taking out things and putting here and there and sometimes throwing also. If I am in a supermarket she would pick up some biscuits and chips and open it there itself and start eating.

If I take her for some dress shopping she takes out clothes from the shop racks and throws it here and there. And if I ask her to behave she starts behaving worse. I am really really concerned on what to do?

Sometimes its a phase when kids are just uncontrollable. I will suggest you to just leave her alone and if she does something wrong just tell her its wrong and put the things in place.

Something what will give her a feeling how she is doing wrong and you are doing it correct.

If you let your child help you she will not trouble you. Just keep her involved. This is the trick that works for me when I go shopping with my daughter. I keep her busy mostly by asking her pick up things and also to search the self for a particular item.

Sometimes you have to think from the child's perspective as well. If you want that your child should walk by your side while you are shopping. Don't you think its weird. Can you do the same. Just think if you accompany your friend for shopping don't you just go and look at something that you liked.

In the same way the child also wants to do something. That too most of the children have much more energy compared to us adults. What you can do is involve your child in shopping. Let her shop her own things like bread, butter, chips etc. which she might be eating. Apart from that you can take some suggestions from her on what fruits to buy or when you are choosing some clothes ask her for which one will look better.

I am sure if you kid is busy she will not get destructive thoughts in her mind.

My son who is just one does not want to sit in the trolley while I go shopping with him. He will not stay in the lap also properly. He just gets touching and holding things here and there.

Whenever I go shopping with my son the first thing I do is buy a packet of chips/biscuit/chocolate and hand it to my son so that he gets busy with it.
In the rest of the time he helps me with shopiing Smile
