During Christmas am planning to visit my hometown. And its a 20 hours journey and am really concerned how will I keep my 18 months old busy all alone for such a long duration. At home itself it takes lots of planning to keep her busy.
Please put in your ideas.
How about putting some Rhymes and Songs which your child loves to hear on your mobile and you can play it for your kid. I am sure your child will definitely sitting peacefully for sometime.
I have always had fun in train journeys with my daughter. My daughter is very friendly and she makes friend with everyone in the coach. By the time we get down from the train each and every passenger knows her name.
Last time we had a 48 hours journey and almost 3 hours she spent with some teens watching cartoons on the laptop. Then she went around talking to people. Elderly people loved to talk to her and young ones loved to play.At night she went and slept with a lady whom she made her grandmom
. Now also we are in touch with the lady.
I think best think for your child would be to try and get him make friends with some other kids in the train and the journey will be all happy.

Very interesting.
My kids have never been so friendly. I always carried some story books, toys and recorded rhymes to entertain them. But yes my kids did love looking out and enjoyed the beauty of nature.
My daughter likes to go anywhere rather than being home. She loves looking out of the window and rest of the time she spend in scribbling using her crayons and singing rhymes.
Make sure to carry some coloring book and crayons.

Lovely kid.
Interesting.
Hope you have an interesting holiday. And yes my son enjoys songs and I looking out of the window.
I have twins and both of them are enough to keep each other busy in playing and fighting
Still story books, recorded rhymes and some of your kid's favorite toys do help.
