My 2 years son is very very active and naughty. He never stays in a place. It becomes very difficult for me to manage him. Every week when I go for grocery shopping I do have to take him with me. And he just runs around and messes things. I am looking for tips to engage him during my shopping.

I involve my son in the shopping. I let him select some of the things that he wants. This keeps him busy. He very happy selects the biscuits that he want and maggi etc etc. In the time that he is busy with his stuff I do my shopping Smile

My daughter loves knowing about different stuff that she sees at the shop. So, I keep her busy showing things and telling her the name. When she was a toddler I described each food item that I bought and then told her the color and how do we eat it or use it. She loved it and did not bug me at all.

Now also when she is 3 yrs old I involve her in my shopping from the time I make a list for shopping till picking up things and billing.

My son is very very naughty and he troubles me alot during shopping. The solution that helps me a little is keeping him busy in picking things for me and also making sure that things are kept properly on the belt while billing. Still its harg going for grocery shopping with him.
I do try to avoid his company.

My daughter has been very helpful during shopping. Since she was a baby I have been involving her in my grocery shopping. When she was 1 to 2 yrs old I used to talk to her about what I was buying tell her the colors and also describe the taste and how she loved some of the eatables that I was buying. I used to tell her the right way to place things. How heavy things should be put down etc. etc.

This way she was busy. Now that she is above 3 yrs old she helps me pick up thing and put in the trolley and also while billing.
