My 2 years old daughter never replies with an answer when I ask her something instead she tends to repeat the same question. Ex. If I ask her "Will you eat" She will repeat the same.
Otherwise she seems to understand whatever I talk to her. Has any other mom out here faced this? How to deal with this and make her understand.

I have been trying to tell her that she should tell me "Yes or No" rather than saying "Will you eat". I have even tried by conversing with my husband in front of her asking the same question and tell her see what did papa say he said "Yes", similar you should also ans.

Hi uma!
In my opinion 2 years is too young to understand the difference between questions and statements. Your daughter is pretty smart if she tends to understand most of what you say. At this age, my daughter had just started speaking a couple of words. I don't think you should put lot of pressure on her, just keep training her the way you currently do.

My son is 25 months old but still he does not speak much. Though he does understand a lot of thing that I talk to him. I don't think so that at 2 years of age you should be so concerned about your kid not answering the questions like the one you have mentioned.
Definitely as you have mentioned your kid is good at speech but may be a month or so of proper conversation with you she may begin to answer what you expect her to do. So, don't put a lot of pressure on her.

My daughter used to do the same. Now she is slowly catching up. I don't think this should be a problem until till 3 years of age your daughter tends to do the same. And don't think so this should be the case with you as I can get from what you have written about your daughter.
