Toddler wants to play with junks

I am very fond of toys and have got so many toys for my son but he is mostly interested in playing with all the junks that put together to throw away. He gets bored of all the toys within minutes and can play with junk for days. At present his favorites are a "empty Pepsi bottle" and "plastic bags".
Do any of your kids play with junks?
My daughter hardly touches her toys apart from her favorite toys. Mostly she plays with some utensils. And these days her favorite is all the plastic spoon from her formula. She loves playing with it. I guess she finds it more interesting than her toys
That's sooo common with children
. Kids always are tempted to do things they are stopped from. I think ur son is more attracted towards junk 'coz u stop him from playing with it.
At this age kids love to explore things. I have seen my daughter getting bored of her toys very soon. She will make building blocks of the bowls in our kitchen. She also loves to play with empty boxes. I let her explore things as I feel thats the way she gets new ideas. Actually I have observed that she does not play with the toys she is supposed to. She will invent different ways. This way children exercise their mind.
My son loves to play with all rubbish. Like yesterday he spent hours playing with a few labels that I took out from his new dress. I think its common among toddlers.
Why worry? It saves you from buying new toys all the time
