My daughter is 4 and as of now she can read alphabets and now I have started teaching her to read words. But recently a neighbor of mine was telling me that her 4 years old son can read sentences. Is my daughter lagging back? Or is my neighbor's son a bright child?
What should I do to fasten the speed of learning for my daughter?

Reading 4t 4 years of age? My son is 4 years and 4 months and he can barely join letters an pronounce words leave alone reading full sentences.

I do not remember starting to read at such an early age. I do not think that a child can read before the age of 6. Some kids are definitely extraordinary to do things before time.

My daughter could read words at 4 but only those that I told her repeatedly. But she was not able to pronounce new words on her own. Now 5 years of age she can read and quite fluently.
