My son will turn 3 in 3 months and till now he has been at home. I have not sent him to any playschool. Now I am planning to put him in school once he turns 3. I know that at this time of year I cannot get him admitted in any regular schools but I can in a playschool. Wondering in which class should I get him admitted Playgroup or Nursery.
I have been teaching him at home and he does know somethings so which class will be good for him.
My son started his Nursery at the age of 3. Now a days many schools do admit kids in PPI as well at the age of 3.
My 3 years old son is going to Nursery. I started sending him to school at the age of 2 in Playgroup.
Definitely Nursery
My son started his LKG at the age of 3.5 as the school in which wanted to put him had this age requirement. But now I feel he is too young to be in class 1 at the age of 5.5 years. Best would be to put your child in Nursery at the age of 3 so that he/she starts LKG at the age of 4.
Playgroup is more about learning manners, conversations, and oral counting, colors, shapes, etc. All this is repeated in Nursery along with writing and stories. 3 is the correct age to start Nursery. Playgroup is more for 2 year olds.
completely agree.
I think playgroup has found its place since most of us live in nuclear family. if it was joint family then we don't need them. the manners and similar things were taught for uncles and grandfather. even basic learning used to happen through stories, which is what is being by playschools these days.
Thanks for all the valuable inputs.
I have got my son admitted in Nursery in a Playschool near our home.
You all have been really helpful in this decision of mine.
Good that you got your son admitted in Nursery as 3 yrs is the right age for Nursery class.
