do you buy pictures and other such things for kid's school work?

hello mammas,
I finally decided to ask this question to everyone. Please tell me if you spend money to buy pictures and many other things for children's school work. Almost every week my child gets homework where he has to stick something or other. like pictures on festivals, people, vehicles, etc. sometime i can find somethings at home. but many times i do not and i have to buy. even if i need one i need to buy full packet.
I always wanted to know how are other mothers managing with this. Please let me know if there is a way to save money and still not let our children face problems in school?

I do not have the energy and patience to keep searching around in newspapers and magazines. I buy charts related to things that are asked. I have located a shop in our area where this type of charts are sold at Rs. 3 each. So, it is not even a big expense.
I think this is a common problem for moms these days. In the beginning I ended up buying charts and pictures. Now I have started collecting pictures from newspapers and magazine when I first see it. So, I do not have to go searching for things at last minute. I have got some idea about what type of pictures may be needed. Like when there is some festival round the corner all the pictures related to that definitely will be needed. This technique may be of help.
