My 15 months old son has not been eating any solid food for last one week. He just drinks milk that too not more than 150ml. If I feed him anything forcibly he just spits it out.

One week back he was not great at eating but at least he used to eat something. I am really worried. Any suggestion how to create an interest for food.

May be he has some medical problems I will suggest u to consult a doctor.

My son had similar attitude few months back and when his attitude towards food did not improve for more than 2 weeks I consulted a doctor and came to know that he had some throat infection because of which he had problem swallowing.

Try to make your son's food a little interesting. Now that he might have started taking solids please do not introduce him to new food every now and then. Find out some things which he likes to eat and give him the same thing for sometime.

A child will never eat by force you have to somehow create interest in him for food. May be you can make the food look colorful if he likes color. Or make some cartoon on the bread with vegetables. Similar things worked for my kid.

don't worry too much.
kids of this age never eat all that your dietician or doctor will recommend.

when they are hungry they will want to eat. you can test this by skipping one of the meals.
i used to be one of those moms who would weigh their kid every week to see how much progress he made Smile now i realize all that was not at all needed.
ensure that whatever they eat is balanced diet. they take right quantity of protein, carb and fat.
let them have fun and have fun with them. this time won't come again.
Smile
