Giving Gripe Water advisable or not.

My elders has been suggesting to give Gripe Water to my baby. But I have heard that Gripe Water has some alcohol in it. And some people say that we should not give it to baby. Wondering if I should give Gripe Water to my baby. How many moms here are giving gripe water to their babies.
I do not think that Gripe water has any alcohol content. I gave Gripe water to my daughter. And now I am giving gripe water to my son who is 3 months old and it has been helpful.
no harm unless you give her too much of it.
we tend to think that giving more will do more good. i do not think it has any alcohol content.
this will not be approved for usage in USA if it has alcohol.
Gripe water does not contain any chemicals at all. It just contains some natural herbs so definitely it cannot be harmful in anyway until consumed in excess as specified by rakhigupta.
I have been giving gripe water to my son and have not found it harmful.
