My baby is 3 months old now. I am breast feeding him but I am not sure if he is getting enough milk. Sometimes I feel that he drinks very less milk. Am really not able to figure out if he able to get enough milk to fill his stomach. Wondering how can I know that.
You can know if the baby is getting enough milk by looking at his urine. If the urine is water colored or pale then baby is getting enough milk but if the color of urine is dark in color then its an indication that your baby is not getting enough milk. Try to increase his intake in such a case and check if the color of urine gets back to normal.
The best indication is that your baby should appear satisfied and relaxed after feeding.
If your baby is gaining weight properly then you should be sure that your baby is getting the required amount of milk. And as a mom when from the way your baby is feeding and the his behavior after feed if he is full or not.
If you baby passes stool atleast once in a day and the poop is yellow in color and the consistency is also good then your baby is getting enough milk.
