have you changed ratio of liquid to solid food in summer?
i have seen complete disinterest towards solid food recently. whereas any liquid like orange juice, soya milk, coconut water is always welcome.
i am still trying my best to give them same quantity of solid foo since i don't know how much liquid can become replacement of solid food for children.
you are so right...
these days kids don't want to have any solid unless it is icecream.
i am buying 2kg brick almost every week. now they know where i store it in fridge. and i cannot even take it out and put it somewhere else like i do sometime with haldiram mixtures.
all of us take lots of juice in all seasons. in summer the consumption has doubled.
keeping onself hydrated is very important. due to sweating all of us loose water. while we can sustain, it could turn dangerous for infants and children. same is true for little older people.
glucon-D should be used liberally. juice is good. we take lots of water melon juice. put some sugar if its not sweet. and then it tastes very good.
sumwhy don't you give him fruits itself instead of juice.
I think fruit has more fiber compared to juice extract. eating whole fruit is much healthier than juice
if you like thne keep the fruit in refrigerator for some time. once it is cold, children will enjoy equally like juice.
thank you simmy, nina, kangana,
i have been trying to give him more fruit. and i considered that as liquid. but you are right eating fruit is different than drinking juice. keeping it in refrigerator idea if interesting. will try that.
that gives me another idea. probably i can give more curd.
summer is getting worse every year. looking forward to 2-3 months from now.
Why talk about kids its the same with me I also enjoy all liquid diet in summers. Apart from fruits, juices and curd. One good option is salad with vegetables like cucumber, lettuce, tomato etc. etc. My kids enjoy this salad.
I also prepare a lot of cold milk shakes which is a good diet if you put some bananas or mangoes in it.
