Will it be a good idea to cook food for my toddler in microwave. These days I have seen a lot of recipes being prepared in microwave and I feel that microwave cooking requires less of oil. But someone told me that microwave cooked food are not healthy enough.

Do you have idea what could be harm in cooking/heating food in microwave for kids?

From what I have read and heard microwave cooking destroys some of the important nutrients present in the food so mostly it is recommended to avoid microwave's use. So, I don't use microwave for kids specially.

As per my knowledge microwave cooking is healthy as it involves very less oil. Amd its hygienic also. I have been using microwave for cooking food for my kids and have not faced any health issue still now because of it.

A friend of mine told me something similar. She told me that the rays used in the microwave breaks some of the molecules thus destroying the nutrients of the food. So, she suggested me not to do microwave cooking as I am expecting.

So, I guess it will be the same with kid's food.
