I cook a quick recipe Bread Halwa. Here is how I cook

Ingredients:
Bread 2 slices
Ghee 1 tsp
Sugar 2 tsp
Milk 1/2 cup
Nuts

Method:
Cut the bread slices into cubes and spread it on microwave dish.
Pour the ghee on the slices and put it in microwave for 1 min.
Now add sugar and little milk on top and cook in microwave for 3 mins.
Add the remaining milk and cook it for 2 more mins.
Roast the nuts for 20 secs and garnish on the halwa.

My kid loves it.
Hope your kids also enjoy.

I personally won't recommend using microwave recipes for children. Afterall they are not healthy!

There is a great deal of scaremongering going on just recently about the use of microwave ovens. Most of which is rubbish. One big issue seems to be that toxins are given off from the plastic cookware that is used in the microwave. I havent seen any definite confirmation of this other than a clever sales ploy by a microwave manufacturer a few years ago. To ensure that this cant happen, the simple solution is to use suitable cookware in your microwave. There is a lot of microwave specific cookware around . if the cookware is made for use in microwave ovens then it will be quite safe to do so. It is thought that some types of plastic such as margarine/butter containers and ice cream tubs may cause problems. Possibly. The manufacturers of these products don't design them to be heated.
Hope this is of help.
Thank you.

This is so different from what we get to hear these days about microwave cooking as pointed by rimjhim31. It would be great if rimjhim you could share more info regarding this.
