My 10 months old son is rejecting any solid food he is given. Till sometime back he was fine and used to eat everything. Infact he used to love rice and dal. I started giving him solids when he was 6 months old and slowly stopped his breastfeeding. 15 days back I stopped breastfeeding and now I give him solids and cow milk. Then also he was fine for a week.

Suddenly since last 5 days he just does not open his mouth for solids, though he is taking milk and juice from bottle. Is it something I should be consulting a doctor for.

My daughter went through similar phases of rejection whenever a new teeth of hers was about to show up. May be you should think how your baby has been behaving when he got his previous teeth. Teething could be a reason for such behavior.

As long as your child ia taking milk and juices I don't think you should worry a lot. Its just a phase. May be if he is ok with liquids you can add some home made soups to his diet.

omar, your baby might be going through some development phase. Maybe he is getting to crawling and if he is already crawling then he might be ready to walk. At these times goes through major change in behavior. You can wait and watch.

At about 11 months of age my son rejected whenever I tried to offer him food. After trying for few days I did let him have some food from my plate and he liked it. From that day I started giving him some food that we ate. Like vegetable, dal and rice mashed together so that he can eat. And he started showing interest in food. So, may be your baby is looking our for a change.

My son has been going through this kind of not eating phase and I had to find out something new how he could enjoy food. Like when he was a year old he would not take anything I offered so I gave him a spoon to eat on his own and he loved the idea.

So, try to find out what your kid will enjoy and maybe he starts eating

ALL THE BEST.
