Ragi recipes for kids

Moms I have been told by my friends that Ragi is very nutritious for kids. I have been trying to give ragi to my 3 years old mixed in the flour for rotis. But she is not ready to eat this roti. Now I am looking for recipes with Ragi which she can find interesting.

Mix Ragi in the milk and boil it. This way the texture changes and kids can drink it.

Ragi Idli and Ragi Dosa are good. My kids like it and this is how I have been able to give them Ragi. Hope this helps.

Cook Ladoos of Ragi my kid loves it. I have got this recipe from my friend. Here is the recipe

Things that are required
2 cups Ragi Flour
1 cup Powdered Sugar
1/2 cup Ghee
Cashew, Almonds and pistachios (cut into small pieces)

How to make Ladoos:
Heat Gheeand once it melts add the Ragi flour to it.
Stir it for 5 minutes and cook it on low heat.
Now add the nuts and mix.
Cook for another 10 mins till ghee starts to seperate.
Now turn the gas stove off and let the mixture cool.
Mix the powdered sugar and make ladoos.

Seems to be a good recipe. I am surely going to try it.

How about Ragi Pooris. Mostly kids prefer Pooris to Rotis.

You can make stuffed pooris as well.

I have already tried roti and poori.
Will give stuffed parathas and pooris a try.
wahida ladoos appears to be really tasty, am going to give it a try soon.

It appears from this post that many of the moms are giving Ragi to their kids. Was not aware that Ragi is so healthy for kids. Can someone suggest the benefits of Ragi. I also want to give it a try.
