Dear ranisaha, quest,
and I am eagerly waiting for my daughter to come back from school.
Thank you for the interesting recipes. I have tried sprouts today
Dear quest, My daughter liked sprouts the other day. Any more suggestions?
Have you tried dhoklas. These can be made from different pulses or semolina.
Below is the recipe for dhokla made from semolina, for two people.
Directions for dhokla
In a bowl take 2 cups of semolina. Add 1 cup yogurt and enough water to make slightly thin batter. Keep aside the batter for around 3 hours. Now add 2 spoons sugar, chopped green chilli, salt and mix. Heat 2 tsp oil, add some jeera and hing. Spread over the batter and mix. Add pinch of soda and mix. Pour this mixture in a greased container, steam dhokla for 10-15 mins. Cut the dhokla. Now heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves and green chilli. Once the tadka is done add the dhoklas and mix. Serve with chutney.
Enjoy!!
tuski,
I tried your dhokla recipe for our evening snacks. Me and my husband loved it but unfortunately my daughter did not like it
