Rice for six months old

My baby is going to be 6 months old in a week and as of now I am feeding her cerelac apart from milk. My elders suggested me to give mashed rice to her. Am wondering if rice will be good for her.
Need to know from experienced moms out here.

Yes you can give.
If you are giving Cerelac it has cereals so its not necessary that you give rice also separately to your baby.
My daughter never liked cerelac so once she was 6 months old I gave her mashed rice, mashed vegetables etc.
mashed rice is definitely good at this age.
My daughter preferred cerelac to mashed rice. Till now she does not like rice. It depends on what your baby takes easily.
