I am thinking of getting my son trained in dance and music. He has started his classes for classical singing. About dance I was thinking whether it will be a good idea to get him trained in classical dance or should I just let him do the film dance.
A boy going for classical dance somehow seems a bit unacceptable for me.
Want to know your views for this.
There is nothing wrong in getting a boy trained in classical dance.
But kangana I would like to ask you the exact motive for teaching dance to your son. If you just want him to get some hold on dancing then no need to go for classical any normal dancing classes will do.
If you want him to be a dancer then you may consider classical dance.
kangana,
How old is ur son? Does he have any inclination towards music/dance? Its good to train kids in music but I think kids should develop this interest themselves.. I have seen instances of kids having different interests than the one that their parents seem to have.. Just my views, not intended to offend you..
I agree with toppy classical dance and singing should be taught only if a child had an interest. But you can definitely get your son trained in some filmy/western dance.
My neighbor is getting her son trained in classical music but the kid does not seem to have any aptitude towards it as he cries before each session. Its better to go by interest of child rather than forcing as it will not help.
And Film dance now a days kids start doing that once they learn standing
I am sending my daughter for classical dance training of Odissi and I did see one boy in her class. But its not very common to see boys learning classical dance.
some level of classical training should help him in learning other forms of dance quicker. i would expect his understanding of classical dance will also make his movements better compared to those who are not exposed to classical form.
