hi,
my son have gotten admission in one of the best schools. right now he is goging to a play school.
he is very happy to go to playschool. they have play area and teacher are very friendly.
i know the environment at a regular school will not be same as in play school. the classes will be more formal. and teachers will not take interest into personal matters of children. at this age i think they need more care.
i am confused. because getting admission to good school will be almost impossible if i try the next year.
i have to deposit around 50 thousands by next week to secure the admission. or this seat will be given to someone else.
please suggest what should i do...
Its important for your child to get in a proper school and now its almost impossible to get admission in good schools in higher classes. I faced a similar situation with my daughter. So, if you have got a seat in a reputed school I will suggest you to go for it.
Emotionally thinking I will say Play School as definitely the child gets more space for himself and also the child will be better taken care of. But logically thinking if you really have to get him in a good school this is the time later the competition gets tougher.
thank you everyone for your feedback.
but frankly speaking i am even more confused now.
I would have gone for regular school as these days its really difficult to get into reputed school and if given an opportunity I would not like to miss it
Its totally a personal decision. I would say if you think that you can take a challenge to trying for admission next year then you can let your child enjoy for one more year at play school. As my thinking is no regular schools can provide an environment as a play school provides for younger kids.
Play school is a new concept. It did not exist when we went to school. I feel that these schools have come up for young kids just to provide comfortable environment for learning. Otherwise young kids gets lost in the crowd of older ones.
My feeling is if there are provisions then why not let your kids enjoy early years of life anyway they are going to face the rude world soon.
I guess regular school is a better option if you want to send your kid to a good school. It will be impossible to get a seat later on. Comparatively its easier at this stage.
Definitely play school. Some of the play school really give lot of attention to the kids and due to the low teacher, children ration the kids tend to learn better and they get a very good environment.
I am sending my son to a play school and suggest you to do the same.
I have just started sending my son to a play school and within a month he has started enjoying the company of kids and caretakers over there. I am sure regular schools do not provide so much care.
But when it comes to the age of schooling I would like my son to be in a regular school. I will definitely try to find one with a good balance of education as well as all round development of my kid.
I am sending my daughter to playschool as according to be putting a lot of pressure on the child before 5 years of age is a torture.
