gift for 5 years old girl

hello all,
What is in fashion these days for 5 years girl. I think i am not keeping up with the trend. And recently I learnt that children have strong sense of fashion. They know which toy to buy at any time. I know Ben10 is hot among boys. Just not sure what is favourite among girls these days.

While i am not aware of trends for girls i can suggest you couple of things.
At 5 years she should be able to read and therefore some nice books like panchtantra should be good. you can gift one book or a combination of few books.
Barbie Doll with different sets is the all time favorite. Check what is latest in the Barbie collection and I am sure the little girl will love it and that would be the best gift
How about a Jewellery making set. I gifted one to my niece for Christmas and she really loved it. My sis was telling me that she is busy with it the whole day these days.
I have been giving story books to my daughter since she turned 4 and I think that is a god gift for a child.
