why don't you give them some indian traditional dress, which they can take back to US in case there are here only for vacation.

I like cricket but it will be bulky to take them back to US. They will be going back to US. They are here only for vacation.

puzzle is something i can defntly do for 4 years. Traditional dress is also interesting. i will have to find out where i can get such dress for kids.

are you decided or still open to ideas-

one of my cousin lives in France. she has a daughter, who is 5 years now. she was born in France. everyone speaks in english at home. so her daughter cannot speak hindi at all. she understands few words of hindi. she knows english and french very well.

recently my cousin asked me to send her CDs that will help in teaching hindi while being fun. they plan to return back to india. and they think it is necessary to learn the local language.

not sure if your friend's kids know hindi or need to know local language. you can consider this if this make sense in their case. instead of hindi, you can also explore such CDs in other local language. i know for sure that there are rhymes CDs in kannad and telgu. i saw them at the shop. so they must be present in other language.
