My 7 years old son participated in a dance competition. He is not very good at it but has a love for dance and recently started learning Western Dance. He could not win any prize so is a little upset. I want to gift him something to appreciate his participation. I want it to be a pat on his back. Suggestions awaited.

Give him something which he might have been asking you for. Maybe a cricket bat, badminton racket or may be some dress which he likes.

A cricket set can be a good thing to gift. This age boys love to play cricket. I am sure your son will like it.

I would say the best thing to do is ask your son to come with you for shopping and let him choose what he wants. And if you know his recent wish they go ahead and shop for what he wants.
Getting what he wants makes a child most happy may it be just a small chocolate.

I agree with vikramkiran. I have been doing this with my kids, whenever I have to give some gift to them I always let them choose what they want. And I can tell you nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing the smile on their face after getting things that they desire.

How about badminton racket. At this age kids want to play new game and any new kit will be exiting for your child.
