Planning my darling daughter's 1st Birthday

My princess will turn 1 in a couple of months. Time flies I can remember the other day full of happiness when the princess came in our lives. These 10 months just went in taking care of her and enjoying the precious moments spent with my darling.
What should I do. What kind of party and how to make it a grand event which is a memory for our life. Friends help me out with your thoughts and ideas about this.
If you would ask me I will get the place decorated with all the colorful things and like balloon and ribbons. You can take a big photo of your daughter and stick it.
One thing that I saw in a B'day party the return gift that you give to the children have your daughter's finger prints on it.
How about having everything pink around as pink is the color for girls. Be it balloons, ribbons your daughter's dress everything.
One thing I would like to suggest. Sure its your daughter's first B'day but plan everything nicely start early and get things done on time before your daughter's sleep time. Otherwise she will get cranky and all the party mood will be gone if the B'day girl herself is not in a good mood.
