Bed wetting above 4 yrs of age

Wondering till what age bed-wetting by a child is not a concern. My son will turn 5 in a few months and till now he wets bed every night. During winter he even ends of peeing twice. One thing is there that he never pees during afternoon nap. I have tried taking him to the toilet once at night but seems to be not of much help.
I am really concerned with his growing age as to how long should I wait and what can I do to help him.
If your son is turning five then definitely you need to take some action. My daughter did pee on once in a while till five but she did it maybe once a week after the age of 4. What I did to stop her from wetting the bed is I took her to toilet once in the middle of night. And that too I made sure to wake her up so that she knew that she needs to go to toilet if she wants to pee.
Another thing you should do is make the bathroom accessible at night by having the bathroom light on.
