My son is now 2 months old and still his belly button is not going in. Its out and is of the size of a marble. I have heard that the belly button goes in within a month. Has any other mom out here faced something similar.
I have seen one of my neighbor son had a similar problem and it goes in when pushed but pops out back. The baby had this problem till he was six months old. They were consulting a doctor for this but I do not know further as they shifted from here.
It might be something called umbilical hernia. This does occur in infants. My niece had similar problem. We did contact a doctor for this and came to know that its a kind of hernia and will go on its own by the age of 3 or 4 years. Now my niece is 7 yrs old and perfectly fine.

zohra & mahika thanks a lot for your informative input. I did visit the doctor and he said that my son does have umbilical hernia and has asked me to wait as with age it may go in on its own. If not then surgery may be adviced later.
