Cracked skin of a year old

Its so cold this year that every other day my son is having some or the other problem. Cough cold, running nose, vomiting etc. etc. These days he is ok but his face skin is getting crack on his cheeks and nose. Have been applying lotion and cream but nothing seems to work. Some remedies pleaseeee.
my doctor gave me some lotion, when my child had similar problem. i remember that the lotion was not regular body lotion like johnson & Johnson. it was some type of medicine. suggest you to consult a doctor.
My little one is older now, but I still use Merino Lanalon skin cream from New Zealand. Since he was a new born I have been using this amazing lotion right after his bath. He is 9 years old and still breaks out occasionaly, I also have been giving him Omago 3 fish oil which have healed his skin conditions and his doctor was really suprised when I just took matters into my own hands. He is doing great.

fish oil with omega 3 is very helpful in keeping skin moist and healthy. i was not sure if it will harm children's skin in any way. since you have used it, this should be safe.
this reminds me of yellow tablets with fish oil that i used to have long back

can you pl. try to find the name of the lotion. i have been using johnson & johnson lotion for long. i don't think it helps in anyway. the only good thing about johnson & johnson lotion is that it is not harmful to the skin of my son.

Is Merino Lenilon lotion available here in India? I will definitely give fish oil a try.
I know fish oil is helpful in many ways.

Using Glycerine based soap is good for babies specially during winter. I use Pears for my kids throughout winter.
Rub some coconut oil on whole body just after bath. This helps with dry skin.
Try Nivea cream it does work with dry skin.
