My son is 3 months old and he has gastric problem because of which many a times he get stomach ache and he cries a lot. What can I do to get him out of this health issue. Is gastric problem common in newborns.
i am sure you have consulted some doctor.
but i suggest that consult a better doctor. gastric can sometime create lot of complexity.
try changing the milk. if she is on breast milk then try to put her on formula milk. on the other hand if you are giving her any formula milk then try to stop that for few days and observer the change, if any.
of course, consult a doctor at the earliest.
sometime giving cereals like barley, which loosens the stool, also helps.
If your baby is on breast milk then the food that you, the mother takes can be the cause for the problem. Please avoid taking any gas producing food ans acidic food. From my knowledge some vegetables like cauliflower etc. produces gas.
Do consult a doctor if the issue is not getting resolved.
are you using good bottle for feeding formula.
poor quality bottle may lead ot lot of air being sucked in. that can in turn case gas related problem. change the bottle even if it is a good brand name bottle. this will help in isolating the issue.
I am breast feeding my son so the question gas with bottle is ruled out. Thanks all for your inputs. jjoseph thanks for pointing out on what I eat. I will try to regulate my food and if after that there is an issue I will go to the doctor.
