How did my 7 months old get urine infection?

My son is just 7 months old and just few days back we came to know that he has urine infection. I am really worried. Doctor has put him on Antibiotic for 2 weeks. Could this have to do with something that went wrong in the environment or something what I would have done wrong.
Could there be some after effects?
I am very sorry to hear that. Many a times it may be due to urine reflux in babies.
I do not think for babies anything can go wrong for babies. For elder children bad bathroom habits can cause Urinary tract infection but am nofr sure what could be the cause for this in baby.
Make sure you put the diapers properly and do not keep the baby wet for long.
Hygiene must have something to do with it. I will suggest you to sterilize most of the reusables.
