Does naming my baby according to Rashi letter make sense?

My son was born about a month back and we have not named him yet. I have thought of a few names that I like. But my in laws want him to be named according to some Rashi letter which comes as "Du".
I really do not want to give him any name which does not sound good to me. And I cannot come out with any name with "Du". Really wondering if I should go by Rashi naming.

About the naming my feeling is its a matter of personal choice. I think there is no proof that naming according to rashi does have some good effects. But still in India many people believe it and do follow it. So, its a matter of your choice.
Its totally upto you. My daughter's rashi name had to start with "ki". I could not get any good names so I have kept her pet name kimmi but her official name is not by rashi.
I have named my son, Vivek according to rashi. This pleased my in laws and I also liked the name so why not.
