My son is 2 months old and recently he has started having a sleep of just 10 hours continuously at night. Apart from that he does take two naps of about 2 hours twice. Just a week back he used to sleep 12-14 hours at night. Is it a change that takes place in sleep pattern of all babies at this age or is it something wrong with my child.
Generally a 2 months old sleep for 10-14 hours at a stretch.
In my knowledge a 2 months old must sleep about 12 hrs at night. It would be a good idea to ask his pediatrician.
I am sure your baby does not sleep for 10 hours in a stretch he must be waking you up in between for feeds. Mostly a 2 months old should have about 16 hours of sleep in the whole day. It should not matter much if he does not sleep at night for 12 hours. In the whole day he should be able to meet the sleep requirement.
So right. I remember my kids never slept continuously for more than 2 hours. Every couple of hours they needed feed.
