how many times do you use one diaper?

i think this is a silly question.
do you reuse diapers? if yes how many times?
many times the diaper doesn't get dirty even when i go out. after we return back and i take out the diaper, i find it very clean. my husband says that i should not reuse. this may cause infection.
is this how diaper supposed to be used? or can i reuse it for that day?
diapers are very expensive. so i do not want to throw it away unless it is really harmful to my baby.
also please tell me know which company diaper is good in quality but not highly priced.
newmom, your hubby is right its definitely not good to reuse a diaper. The only thing is that your baby can have it on for longer duration if its not wet but please do not reuse it.
For the same day if you are going somewhere and in the previous use he has not wet the diaper I did use it for that day itself.
thanks lavanya. i also use like this. say in morning we go for a walk. if the baby does not pee in this diaper. then if i go out again for something like buying vegetable or to doctor then it should be a problem to use the same diaper. this is what i have been saying.
Its not good to reuse a diaper even if its a little wet. But if its not wet you can use it for 24 hours thats it. Please don't keep using it for days.
My experience says that its never good to reuse diaper whether its wet or not.
