Hellos to all!
My son is 18-months old and I want to prepare a play-room for him. We have a small spare room which we do not use much. I plan to convert that into a play room. How can I do that? Please give your suggestions regarding the following aspects:
1. Colors to be used for the room
2. Design/ decoration of the room
3. Toys and other stuff that can be placed
Thank you very much for your suggestions.

Since you have a boy you can use a blue color for the room. Or another idea could be get the room painted with many cartoon characters which your kid likes.

I thing which you should definitely put in the play room is a big Mirror. Kids of this age tend to love to see themselves and discover themselves.

For my daughter I have put soft toys and dolls in her toy room. Since you have a boy you can put some toy cars, and building blocks.

Thanks to both of you for your suggestions but I am a bit disappointed. Recently, I was checking out over the internet for some ideas for this playroom. The rooms that I saw in most snaps posted were very sophisticated and looked expensive Sad. What I had in mind was a simple thing for my son, but it looks like either I have to drop this idea or put a lot of money into it which is difficult for me at this time. Please share your ideas on this also.

Divide the playroom into different areas. In one corner you can arrange your son's cars, trains etc. In one part you can have all the building blocks and all and similarly. Be sure to keep a small table and chair in his play room where he can sit down and do coloring which kids love to do. Also his train will run on it by now you must be aware of it.

Another thing I will suggest is have a small rack next to the table maybe where you can have your son's picture books and paper color pencils etc. This will be his library (sounds good Smile).

I think this will not cost you. And as per my suggestion do not spend extra money on making the playroom high class a playroom is just an area which your kid can call his own and be proud of. Smile

Hi there!
Don't be disappointed.. You have planned to have a playroom for your son to make him happy.. It does not always take lot of money to bring smile on a kid's face.. You can prepare a playroom with less expenses also.. I really liked omnihere's suggestions Smile
