I have been trying to have a baby without any success till now. I am really getting concerned and planning to get fertility tests done. Can anyone tell me what fertility tests need to be done?
One of the fertility test that I took was Blood Test. I went through several blood tests at different stages of my menstrual cycle. These test were for testing some hormone levels and also the quantity and quality of the eggs.
One more blood test was done 7 days after the menstrual cycle. This was to check the level of progesterone, which should be elevated after the egg is released if the ovulation is normal.

Pelvic exam, breast exam and pap smear are some of the basic tests that doctors do in the very beginning pre conception.
If doctor has doubt in the initial tests then he may suggest to get ultrasound done.
Get the thyroid test done which checks TSH, T3 etc. You can ask your doctor what all tests need to be done.
