I am overweight and am trying for a baby. In order to get to the recommended weight and for this I am going to gym and exercising. Will too much of exercise effect my fertility in someway?

Mostly exercise is always good. But do not exert yourself a lot otherwise you may become weak. I am not very sure of how exercise may effect your chances of getting pregnant.

Too much of exercise can lead to infertility. If a lady exercise too much she may loose her body fat. And body fat is required for the production of estrogen which in turn helps in ovulation. So, too much of exercise may lead to a woman not ovulating at all.

Exercise is very important for the proper functioning of the body. And for ladies overweight, exercise can be definitely useful in reducing the weight. But if you are planning for a baby then it is very much important that you do not overdo. To know what will be the optimal exercise that will help you reduce weight and not cause any obstruction in you conceiving do consult a doctor.

A friend of mine was suggested to reduce her exercises to some limited ones and even the duration was fixed by her doctor once she decided to plan for baby. So, I guess it is the right time for you to go to your doctor and get her advice.

Exercise is very much required to keep your body in fit but if you exert yourself too much then it may hamper your chances of conceiving in some way or the other.

Too much of anything is not good. If you want to reduce weight you can do some specific exercise. Overdoing is never recommended.
