Father who does not want to have second child.

I have been a member of babymomstreet since long but have been a silent spectator. I have a daughter who will turn 2 in a month and now itself my family wants us to have our second child. As usual my parents want to have a baby boy.
My wife also wants a second maybe a couple of years later but yes she wants to have a second child. I am totally against having 2 kids. I feel that with one earning member in the family if I raise one child with good education that is better than having 2 kids and not able to meet their needs up to the mark.
Looking forward to ideas of members over here.
I have one son and am not planning for another child at all. Same as you I want to take care of my child in the best possible way. And I know that we cannot do justice if I have more than one child. SO, I am very much with you.
I have one child as of now and am planning to have second child. As far as deciding about how many kids one should have it should be a personal decision. I think that my elder child will feel lonely without a sibling so am surely going to have another child.
I have a daughter who is 10 months old and I do not plan to have another child. As I want to use all my efforts emotionally, financially etc. etc. to have a happy, healthy and smart child. And I cannot do this for 2 kids.
I have two kids and can tell you from the kids point of view its definitely good as they get a company.
I also don't plan to have a second child.
I have two kids and I can never imagine having just one child. Maybe from the very beginning that was my mind set.

Though I do have pressure for my family to have one more child.
But as some other members said I feel physically & emotionally I do not have the streghth to raise one more child.
I have 2 kids with an age difference of just 2 years and I can tell you that its really very tiring handling two kids and now when it has come to education the expenses are also high. I am sure I will have to compromise on some fronts but still I am sure I would have never had just one kid.
I also am with the opinion of having one child.
I have a daughter who is 2.5 years old and I do plan to have another child once she is 5-6 years old By that time my daughter will be able to do things on her own.
I think our kids do need a sibling for company.
