Its been a month since I I had my daughter and my bleeding is not stopping. I had a normal delivery though after a long wait. Just wondering if its normal to have bleeding for so long. I really feel weak and tired and this thing is making me feel irritated. What do I do? Really concerned.
It is very normal to have bleeding for upto 4 weeks after delivery. And this can continue for few more weeks. So, nothing abnormal to worry about.
I bled till 3 weeks and then it stopped and was happy thinking that it was over but it started again at the beginning of 5th week and went on for 2 ore weeks. Was worried and consulted my doctor who suggested that it is normal and nothing to worry about. So, I guess you should also not worry.
I guess a month is very very normal. Most women have bleeding for at least 4 weeks. For very few it gets over before than. Mine went on for almost 6 weeks. So, just do not worry and eat well.
Not to worry its very normal.
The vaginal bleeding that occurs after delivery is called lochia and can prolong for upto 6 weeks after delivery. Its different from the menstruation and its a way in which the body heals the uterus by expelling the leftover placental tissue, blood etc. Initially the bleeding is bright red in color and changes to pink to brown as days pass.
So, I guess it is nothing abnormal going on with you.
