Its been 1 month since I gave birth to my second baby and since then I have been loosing a lot of hair. This does not even seem to stop. When will this stop? Can I do something to stop this?
I had a similar concern but after searching for lot of information and talking to friends and relatives I came to know that its normal to loose hair after pregnancy.
One of my doctor friend told me that during pregnancy lots of our scalp hair are not shed which should shed according to the normal growth cycle of the hair. And after pregnancy these hairs fall. This will never cause permanent hair loss.
And mostly this type of hair loss stops within 6 months after pregnancy. If it continues after that then there might me some other reason for the hair loss.
Sometimes it may be something more than hormonal changes so my suggestion would be to consult a doctor if you feel that the hair loss is really in excess. Do not delay.
leena, don't freak out I am telling you from my experience. I was also very tensed after delivery when my hair started falling. I even consulted doctors. Nothing helped till about 9 months after delivery and suddenly after that hair stopped falling.
Don't worry this will stop soon. Due to a lot of hormonal changes during pregnancy and once you have given birth to the baby.

I am also loosing a lot of hair but do not get time to worry about it as my baby keeps me busy 24 hours.
