i met the doctor again today. i was really worried. now i know breach position. doctor said that baby can get to normal position within next few weeks. he said he will also try to bring the baby to normal position.

doc tor was nice. but i do not trust anyone at this time. please please share your experiences if any of you have seen this.

From what I know breech position means baby is not in the position of head down that is required for normal delivery. In breech position mostly baby's buttocks are down. Many a times one has to go through c-section in such cases.

My baby was in breech position till the time of delivery and had to go through Cesarean. I wanted a normal delivery but the doctor said there is a high risk for the baby so I did not take a chance and got cesarean done.

I did have a discussion with my gynecologist about breech position of a baby because my sis-in-law had some problems as her baby was in breech position at the time of delivery.

My gynecologist told me that breech position mainly means that baby's head is not down as it should be at the time of delivery for normal delivery. Mainly baby can be in 3 types of position if breech:
1. Buttock are down with the legs folded at the knees.
2. Buttock are down with the legs stretched up with feet near the head.
3. Legs are in place to come out first with 1 or both legs stretched down.

Most common is the 2nd type of position and is the safest.
One can wait till the 37th week for the baby to turn his head down.
