You can easily get infected with flu and chicken pox. Take a lot of care and do not get in touch with any infected person and live a hygienic life.

My sister suggested me to take Rubella vaccination as pregnant woman can very easily get infected with it.

I got a blood test done and then after consulting my doctor I did take that vaccine. I will suggest you to talk to your doctor regarding this.

Try to keep away from mosquitoes as during pregnancy malaria or dengue can be harmful for your baby.

Make sure any non veg item that you eat is properly cooked as if eaten uncooked can cause several issues.

I got Thrush during my pregnancy. Its an yeast infection in the vagina. Luckily it did not harm the fetus in anyway and as far as I know one gets infected with this only in the third trimester. Mostly common in second or later pregnancies.

Another infection which may harm the fetus is Listeria which is caused by bacteria. It has flu like symptoms and mostly caused because of having contaminated food. So, its very imp that you make sure to have good fresh food during pregnancy.
