Hello,
I am worried about my frequent feelings of nausea and vomiting which I thought will improve after my first trimester. I am already in my 23rd week and still vomit quite often. My mother-in-law also says morning sickness generally is a problem only in the first trimester. Should this be a cause of concern?
Hi ninapadhi,
You are right that morning sickness generally does not lasts till the 23rd week. Most pregnant women experience this starting from around the 4th week till the 14th to 16th week. However, this is the norm and not the rule. Mine lasted till around the 22nd week and my doctor says there is nothing to worry.
I never faced any morning sickness during my pregnancy. That sounds great right
But I had many other problems. I have heard people having to face morning sickness for quite sometimes. One of my friend had morning sickness problem in her last trimester also.
Pregnancy seems to be an experience as I am amazed to see the experiences it brings with it. I did experience morning sickness only during my first trimester but one of my friend who gave birth to her son a week back had severe problems of nausea throughout her pregnancy. Infact in the later days sometimes it became so bad that she had to get an IV to get fluid in body.
Thank God I am already through it in my 1st trimester. All the best to you ninapadhi.
