How can I know if I am having Fraternal or Identical twins

I am 4 weeks pregnant and recently I came to know that I am pregnant with twins. Now I really want to know if the twins I am carrying are identical twins or fraternal twins. What are the ways I can know this.

Though not sure I think ultrasound can be useful in determining the type of twins.

My sis-in-law had twins and she is in US. She told me that over there they have some tests to find out if the twins are fraternal or identical. She mentioned some tests as CVS and amniocentesis. But she did not go for any of them as she came to know that they are not very safe. I am not sure if these tests are done in India.
