My sis is pregnant and she has cravings for all sorts of roadside food like Golgappa and chaat etc. I always advice her not to have any outside food and I also did not have any when I was expecting. If we give her the same things made at home she is not satisfied.
I am looking for opinions on how advisable is it to eat anything from outside during these 9 months.
Let your sis have what she wants but definitely from a hygienic place. But any thing in moderation is good and specially during these 9 months.
Road side food is definitely not advisable. There are high chances of infection. You are right in preparing things at home as it is much healthier.
I remember having Golgappas from a roadside stall in the 5 month of pregnancy and within few hours had so many vomitings. Because of that I had stomach infection. Doctor strictly told me not to have any such food as ones body is sensitive during these 9 months and we should avoid any such thing which can harm mom's body and baby.
Its a big NO for roadside food during pregnancy.
You can eat outside food but from a good restaurant only. But one thing always haunts me how about poor people they live in such an environment but still they do have babies don't they. I guess its all about how are they brought up and their immune system.
If our immune system is not string during pregnancy our body is more sensitive so have got to be more careful.
I will say it varies many ladies have better immunity but yes that does not mean eating anything any where.
It is an insensible idea and unhealthy. This 9 months one got to take care of herself and any such step is totally not thought of.
same here hemakuheli. i can not imagine not eating roadside food for more than 7 days. And during pregnancy it was like i did not want anything else
