Recently lots of mosquitoes are coming in our flat. I have put Net in all windows but still at night lots of mosquitoes are around. I am using Mosquito Repellent.
But a friend of mine told me that it could be harmful for me at this time.
Is this right?
I have also been asked not to use mosquito repellents by my elders. I am using mosquito net and I cover my whole body when I sleep. This protects me from mosquito bites.
Do not use Coils or mats. You can use Vaporisers if you really cannot find any other solution.
I have come across articles stating that use of mats and coils could be harmful for health specially for infant and pregnant women. It emits a substance called Allethrin which could cause complications in pregnancy. As I have not read much against Vaporisers I use it when really need. Though I try to avoid that as well.
I think best mosquito repellent is a mosquito net. well it's safe from mosquito, does not produce harmful smoke & even safe for pregnant women..mats & coils even electrical devices use to repellent mosquito can be harmful in pregnancy.
Pregnant women also need to use mosquito repellant, there's a high risk of having a dengue fever or other mosquito diseases if you will expose yourself outside the house or even inside without putting some repellant. There are many kinds of mosquitoes right now that are invading our households and one of them is the Asian Tiger mosquitoes which is the main carrier of fatal dengue fever. While it's no connection to the typical barfly, the Asian Tiger mosquito is the true invasive species of metropolitan mosquito plaguing large cities. The urban invader is aggressive and will go for city blood. It attacks in the broad light of day. It also can distribute dengue fever. I read this here:
