I am pregnant and have been suggested by many people to drink more water. I am not used to drinking a lot of water. I know drinking water is good for health but I simply cannot drink a lot of water. But for my baby to be healthy I will do any and everything. I would like to know the benefits of drinking more water.
Definitely you should drink lots of water. During pregnancy actually you should drink more water than what one is supposed to drink normally. Water helps the proper distribution of nutrients in our body and now when you are pregnant its very very important that flow of nutrients is good.
I suffered severe constipation during my pregnancy so my doctor suggested me to drink a lot of water, which helped in relieving my constipation to a great extent.
The main benefit of water is that it keeps our body hydrated. If we drink less water our body gets dehydrated which could lead to various problems during pregnancy like headache, nausea, dizziness etc. etc.
Especially in the third trimester of pregnancy dehydration could lead to contractions which can cause preterm labour.
Drinking enough water does keep the body cool and helps maintain the temperature. Since I have got pregnant I feel very hot and water has been relieving for me.
After getting pregnant in my first visit to the doctor the suggestion I was given was to drink a lot of water. According to my doctor drinking abundant water can be really good for my body which inturn will help my baby. Less water can lead to several problems.
