I am a non vegetarian and mostly have heard that non veg food is good to be eaten during pregnancy. Some friends suggested to eat liver also. I am really confused as to what would be the right amount of non veg. I am sure vegetables are also very healthy so definitely we need to have some balance. What would be the right balance?

As far as I am aware non veg is good for health but don't eat a lot. Avoid some mercury rich fish, eat mutton in less quantity as it generates a lot of heat.
You can get a lot of protein from eggs and chicken.

Fish contains Omega3 fatty acid which is good and chicken & egg is rich in protein so its good to include some non veg in your diet. But have a balanced diet on the whole just eating a lot of non veg will not help.

Hello,
A pregnant women should have 3 to 4 servings of protein everyday which can come from dairy products, fish, meat, eggs and beans. You need to balance non-veg with other food as too much non-veg will not compensate for lack of other content.
