My 4 years old adughter is very naughty. But I try to discipline her in my own way without beating or scolding. I try to exlain things to her as think she is still young to be punished. But recently she has been complaining that the teacher beat her in school. And today she told me that the teacher locked her in a room.

I am really concerned. Its not a good thing to do. I know that it might be difficult for the teacher to deal to my daughter but locking I cannot accept it at all. Am thinking of compaining to the school authority. What do you suggest?

Such a small kid being beaten is not right at all. Just go ahead and take action against the teacher who is doing so. For this first step should be approaching the School Authorities.

My son had to face such things in his school at the age of 5 but I changed his school immediately as talking to school management did not take any proactive action.

How can you accept such a small kid being beaten. Just go ahead and file a complaint and if the things do not improve then pull her out of that school and put her in some other. Getting beaten at such an early age kids may have adverse effect.

When we used to go to school it was very common to get beaten by our teachers. But that time also if I am right we were not 4 years old but much elder. And now its totally unacceptable. If teachers have some complain they should call the parents why beat the kids. For my kids if the teachers have any issue thay call me and we together try to find some solution.

Recently I heard a friend of mine telling about a similar incidence with her kid and she immediately took her child out from the school and put him in another school.

Its quite common with regular schools. We really need to be careful. I visit my son's school regularly to keep a track of whats going on with him. I make a point to meet his teacher to discuss his behavior etc.

Its totally unacceptable. You should complain against the teacher and if no immediate action is taken you pull your child out of that school.
The first school in which I put my son once a teacher hit him and I filed a complaint and discussed the issue with the teacher & principal.
The teacher was fired from the school immediately.

Reading all this I am really scared to send my daughter to school. She is 2.5 years old and I was planning to send my daughter to Playgroup but now I am rethinking.
