2 cups Makhana (puffed lotus seed)
5 cups Milk
11/2 cup Sugar
2 Cardamom (ground)
7 Cashew nuts (sliced thin)
5 Almonds (shredded)
10 Raisins
2 tbsp Ghee
Heat ghee in a pan and fry makhana for few minutes till the makhana is crisp on low heat. Once the makhana cools a little crush it.
In a saucepan bring the milk to boil. Add the crushed makhana and cook it on low heat till the milk is thick and creamy. This may take about 30-40 mins. Now add raisins, almonds and cashew nuts. Cook for 5 more minutes.
While serving sprinkle the ground cardamom.
