One day a Lion was awakened from his sleep by a little mouse, who was running all over his face. He was very angry and put his heavy paw on the mouse, opening his mouth to swallow the little mouse.
The mouse got frightened and squeaked “Pardon me. Please do not kill me. If you will be kind enough to let me go, someday I may be of help for you.” The Lion laughed thinking of what help this little mouse could be. And the Lion let the mouse go. The little mouse hurried saying “Thank you for the kindness. I will never forget this.”
Sometime later the lion got trapped. While the lion tried to free himself he got even more entangled. He roared and all the animals including the little mouse heard this. Hearing this the mouse ran in the direction of the roar.
Soon the mouse found the lion in the trap. The little mouse said “Majesty hold on and I will get you out soon.” Soon the mouse started nibbling the ropes and after hard work he could get the lion free.
The lion was grateful and he thanked the mouse for help. And the mouse said this was his turn to pay for lion’s kindness sometime back.
