Two Swans And A Turtle

There lived two swans and a turtle in a pond, who were good friends. It did not rain so the water level of the pond was going down. The three friends were worried, and the swans went in search of a larger pond.

Soon they found a larger pond and they returned to tell the same to the turtle. But they had another problem. The turtle could not fly so how would he be able to go to the new place. The swans did not want to leave their friend behind so they came up with a plan.

The swans found a stick. They told the turtle that they will be holding the stick from the two sides with their beaks and the turtle should hold the stick in the middle with his mouth.

One thing which the three had to make sure was that none of them should speak on the way. If any of them opened their mouth the turtle will fall to death. Soon the swans were flying with the turtle. During their flight they crossed a village and people were amazed to see the sight. On hearing the people praise the swans the turtle thought of telling them about his courage. And as soon as he opened his mouth to speak he fell down and died. The swans were very sad to see their friend die because of his own foolishness.
